If you've never been to a yoga festival, or have been thinking about it, but have yet to pull the trigger, I highly encourage you to make 2024 the year you attend Barefoot and Free. From the great food and clothing vendors to the amazing teachers, workshops, and classes, if you like being human you will find something you'll like at Barefoot. It really is a magical time in the woods of Michigan.”

The energy and safe space cultivated by the collective whole engulfed in nature. It felt like a weekend of releasing all that no longer serves and creating an open heart to receive an abundance of goodness. There was lots of tears, lots of laughter and lots of love. No one was telling you not to cry. Crying was encouraged. This is rare in most of life. I appreciated the safe space to be authentic and be seen.

The weekend was the most healing, transformative, loving and embracing weekend of my life! I walked in carrying so much heaviness from this past year and left feeling so light, reborn, confident and connected! Thanks to all the beautiful humans and experiences I was able to fall in love with myself all over again and something that’s I haven’t felt in years! My anxiety and depression dissolved, I walk through life now more happy, present, confident, connected and grateful all thanks to the beautiful magic that happens in this forest.

Barefoot and Free Yoga Festival was a perfect family-friendly weekend getaway! Set in a beautiful wooded environment, it had plenty to keep everyone engaged, from preschool aged up to the retirees, regardless of their interest-level in yoga. From stretching to swimming, dancing to drumming, great teachers, location, vendors and sense of community all made it an experience we look forward to making an annual tradition. Next year we're bringing the grandparents!

Connection is Medicine ~

The medicine we all need resides in the simple parts of this glorious life. We believe connecting with movement, nature, community, plants, sounds, and energy is the medicine our world needs. It is up to each of us to give ourselves the gift of this medicine so we can each shine our unique and authentic light in the world.
