What a crazy time to be alive, huh? Do you catch yourself saying "I'm fine, everything's fine...” when really you're ready to BURST inside with anxiety & frustration from trying to navigate the absolute dumpster fire of today's workplaces, social spaces, past trauma, family drama, political climate, and world in general?

Let’s let it all out!

This class will involve yoga, somatic movement, breathwork, meditation, ecstatic dance… and some shouting and swearing - but it's exactly the release you might need! While yoga is traditionally thought to be a quiet, relaxing, meditative exercise, this class holds space for a release and expression that can lead you to a new and different level of inner peace with exactly the opposite — but that honors your authenticity and validates that life is just bad vibes sometimes.

Join Sam for a fully inclusive all levels practice, absolutely free of stigma and judgment. We are ALL angry about something, and we all have probably been holding onto an ‘F’-bomb or two for a little too long. This special class will allow you to have a safe space to let go of your frustration and rage in a healthy way, surrounded by like-minded folks who really "get it.”

Forming a relationship to our inner world requires us to stop and listen with intention and purpose. Both meditation and journaling create an open-hearted space of discovery and invite deeper self-reflection and self-expression into our daily existence. By combining meditation and journaling with our yoga practice, we each can access the wisdom from the deeper layers of our inner beings and develop a greater understanding of the messages they have to offer.

During class, students are led through a guided meditation, a gentle yoga flow, and prompted with questions to consider during a quiet time for journaling. We’ll turn inward, practice self-care, self-love, gratitude, and healing while we each hold space for others to do the same. Students are asked to bring a yoga mat, a blanket, a journal, and a pen or pencil to class.

Barefoot Cardio Dance Party

Saturday | 7:15pm | Music Stage

Get ready to move and shake and sweat with a smile! A good work out doesn’t have to be miserable and not everything needs to be so serious — let’s cut loose for a bit, dance it out, and celebrate joy, strength, and rhythm.

This class is a playful hour of choreographed dance fitness — you’ll be guided through each song every step of the way, no dance experience required, just bring your joy, bring your attitude, and bring your booty!

Teacher Bio

Sam Grey is a certified yoga teacher and personal trainer from Medina, OH. Practicing since 2010, teaching since 2018, and training since 2021, Sam brings a well-rounded and knowledgeable passion for movement rooted in reverence and fun. She brings energy, strength, and boldness to the mat, the weight room, and the dance floor, as well as a peaceful, nurturing safety and grounded sensitivity to meditation and gentle practices.

Beyond yoga and the gym, Sam enjoys time outdoors and sharing life with her three children and their cat, sipping black coffee, and serving the yoga community as the Vice President of Elevate Akron.
