Barefoot & Free Yoga & Wellness Festival
August 7–9, 2026
Proud Lake Recreation Area
Commerce, MI
Live Updates
We’ll post important updates here before and during festival weekend.
Construction / Road Closures
There is road construction in the area this year, so please give yourself extra time when arriving and traveling between festival locations.
There is active road construction near Proud Lake Recreation Area. The Wixom Road / Wixom Trail / Duck Lake Road / Sleeth Road intersection is closed for roundabout construction until late summer. Please allow extra drive time and follow posted detours or GPS reroutes.
The official Road Commission link:
https://www.rcocweb.org/727/Wixom-RoadWixom-TrailDuck-Lake-RoadSleet
Important arrival note: Sly Road construction
Proud Lake is currently doing work on Sly Road, which is the road that leads to the campground side of the park. Because of this, driving between the main festival area and the campground side may be slow.
Whenever possible, we encourage you to walk the trail between the festival grounds and the campground instead of driving back and forth. The trail will likely be the easiest and smoothest way to move between areas throughout the weekend.
Please give yourself extra time, wear comfortable shoes, and follow all posted signs and staff directions.
Parking + Shuttle Updates
Parking closest to check-in is first come, first served. When you arrive, our team will direct you to the correct parking area.
We will have an overflow parking lot and shuttle service available. If you are directed to shuttle parking, staff will guide you.
Because of construction this year, shuttle travel between locations may take about 15–20 minutes each way, so please build in extra time.
Festival and Gate Hours of Operation are on the main festival landing page.
Parking Details:
If attendees do not have a Michigan state park pass, Proud Lake only takes cash on site.
In-state vehicle pass: $20
Out-of-state plates: $12/day or $44/year
Attendees must have non-expired tabs.
If someone cannot enter Proud Lake / has an issue, they should shuttle from Loon Lake Elementary School parking lot, which is also overflow for the campground.
Weather Alerts
If weather impacts parking, shuttle flow, class locations, or the schedule, updates will be posted here.
Other
Unfortunately, the pizza truck isn’t able to join us at the festival this year.
Lost & Found
Lost and found is located at the main festival side, at check in. We have sunglasses, glasses, water bottles, and hats here for you!

Download the full Festival Map (PDF) here: Festival Map PDF
Quick Location Guide
Proud Lake side (South Campus): Fairy Glen / Yoga Tent, Magic Moon, Eagles Den, Pixie Playground / Kids Area, Phoenix Fire, Music Stage
Between locations: Mermaid Cove / The Bridge (connects Proud Lake side + Walled Lake/campground side)
Walled Lake / Campground side (North Campus): Goddess Tent (new location), Om Oasis / The Yurt, Butterfly Landing, Classroom — Wisdom Keepers, Classroom — Creation Station, Cafeteria — ManiFeast Dinner, Classroom 2
Important Notes
VIP Wellness Sanctuary: scheduled sponsor offerings are open to everyone; outside of scheduled public offerings, this space is reserved for VIP guests.
Limited-size venues: Walled Lake / campground-side venues are more limited in size. Most classes are first-come, first-served — arrive early for anything you’re most excited about.
Pixie Playground schedule note: On Saturday, some Pixie Playground time slots include two offerings at once: one designed for kids/all ages and one designed for mothers/caregivers.
Tip: The map is easiest to view by downloading the PDF to your phone.
Main Festival Entrance + Check-in
For all weekend pass, day pass, and VIP pass holders, please arrive at:
Proud Lake Recreation Area Headquarters
3500 N. Wixom Rd
Commerce, MI 48382
This location may also appear as River Hawk Conference Center and Lodge.
Proud Lake is a state recreation area requires a Michigan Recreation Passport / state park pass for vehicle entry. Please plan ahead and make sure your vehicle tabs/registration are up to date.
Camping + Shala Bunkhouse Arrival
If you are staying in the campground or Shala Bunkhouse, please use this address:
Walled Lake Outdoor Education Center
3577 Sleeth Ct
Commerce, MI 48382
Only guests staying in the campground or Shala Bunkhouse should go directly to this location. Everyone else should arrive at the Proud Lake address above.
Campground access + Sly Road construction
Please note that Sly Road is under construction, and this is the road used to access the campground side of Proud Lake. Traffic may move slowly, especially during busier arrival and transition times.
If you are moving between the main festival area and the campground, the best option is to walk the trail whenever possible. This will help reduce traffic delays and make it easier for everyone to get where they need to go.
We recommend planning ahead, wearing shoes you are comfortable walking in, and allowing extra time if you do need to drive.
Moving Between Locations
The festival is spread out in the woods across two locations, connected by a 0.4-mile trail.
Please keep this in mind as you plan your schedule. Give yourself time to walk between classes, take in the woods, pause by the river, meet someone new, or simply enjoy the trail.
A shuttle will also run between locations, but due to construction this year, shuttle travel may take 15–20 minutes each way.
The woods are part of the experience — so give yourself space to enjoy them.
