Will water be available?

Yes. We will have water stations and eco friendly cups.  We strongly encourage you to reuse your bottles & be earth friendly.

WILL FOOD BE AVAILBLE ALL DAY? Or only during Lunch & Dinner breaks?

We will be having terrific, mostly organic, local vendors selling their incredible food all throughout the day!

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! Kiddos under 12 are free.  We will have a variety of activities and classes for kids at Barefoot and Free as well as childcare during popular class times!

Can I bring my dog?

While we just ADORE dogs & technically in the recreation area dogs are allowed, we can’t allow dogs in the yoga zone.

Where do we park?

We have a parking crew to direct you where to go.  You will need a state park pass – which will be available for purchase during the weekend.

If you purchased a VIP Pass, are a Vendor, or an Artist you will receive a VIP parking pass. You MUST HAVE IT with you to park in VIP Parking.

If you purchased a Weekend Warrior Camping Pass or a Weekend Bunkhouse Shala Pass then you will park by the Warrior Campground which is located at 3577 Sleeth Ct. Commerce TWP, MI 48382.

What about camping?

This year we have added an additional location in Proud Lake for camping and some of our classes.  It is approximately .4 miles, a short path through the woods away from our check in area. Camping is limited and we expect to sell out!  You’ll be able to choose our own area for camping in a large open field.  There are several in door bathrooms available for use as well as outdoor toilets for campers to use.  There is also a picnic shelter and a bonfire pit.  If you purchased the Weekend Warrior Pass camping is included with your ticket.  After your purchase, you will receive an email with more details and instructions regarding parking and camping. We also have a map to show you the layout of the land.

Can I come and go throughout the day & weekend?

Yes of course. The festival road does have a gate that will be locked at midnight on both Friday & Saturday night so unless you have a VIP pass you will have to leave by midnight.

Are there other activities being offered besides yoga?

Barefoot and Free has a diverse selection of yoga, music, healing arts, workshops, talks, and classes!  You can look forward to the many diverse, experienced teachers as well as more out of town yogis and musicians!  We have a lare stage and lots of music through out the weekend.  You can look forward to a wide variety of all kinds of mindful classes and experiences with nurture and your whole being!  We also have plenty of activities for the kiddos!

The setting is quiet, peaceful and has a nice swimming spot.  SUP boards will be available to rent or you can bring your own!  The Huron River is shallow and very beautiful.

I'm new to yoga ... Should I come?

Yes absolutely come!!! Immerse yourself with a variety of excellent teachers & be inspired by the yogis around you. What a perfect opportunity to see how awesome YOGA is!

Are all the classes outside?

We will mostly be loving up Mother Nature. However, we will practice in 2 large yoga spaces under large canopies. There is a lodge that will be hosting some of the yoga classes. Some of the smaller classes will be set in little fairy pockets of the woods such as a yurt located .4 miles from the other classes.

Be prepared to be outdoors and bring your sun protection & your bathing suit & towel. We want to be barefoot & free!!!

Do I need a SUP board for SUP classes?

No.  We have an amazing SUP sponsor, That’s Was Sup Detroit, providing boards throughout the weekend. We will even have extra there for you to just go out and paddle around!

Can I bring food & beverages?

We will have a variety of local food vendors for you to purchase throughout the day. As well as non alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring a cooler with your own personal snacks. Please keep in mind, we are not responsible for your personal items & please be mindful of the beautiful nature setting we are in and make sure to pick up after yourself.

Do I need a yoga mat?

Yes please provide your own mat & bring any yoga props that you like to practice with. Yoga blocks, blankets & Dharma wheels are encouraged!
