Class Offerings: Journey to Handstand + Soar Higher with Arm Balances

Journey to Handstand: Whether incorporated into a yoga flow or practiced independently, handstands provide opportunity to explore your inner child and challenge the capabilities of the body and mind. This playful and empowering balancing act requires not only strength and flexibility, but also knowledge about what is happening when the body is upside-down. Join Alice for a fun and informative workshop, exploring the subilites of alignment and muscle engagement in handstand. Purposeful sequencing and drills will prepare the body for balancing on the hands, and students will leave with valuable tools to progress on their handstand journey!

Soar Higher with Arm Balances: Empower your practice by learning how to float and balance on the hands! Move past fear, build better balance, and strengthen your body with arm balance yoga poses. This workshop will break down the essential actions and movements of some of the most common arm balances (such as crow, side crow, firefly, and flying pigeon). Strategically designed drills and flows, followed by stages of entrance and modifications, will make arm balances accessible and fun. Developing a strong physical body aids us in our daily actions and spiritual evolution. Prepare to soar with these powerful poses!

How long have you been practicing? 15+ years.

Interesting fact about yourself: Alice has recently begun her journey as a Reiki energy healer!

“To be joyful and peaceful within yourself every moment of your life, to be able to perceive life beyond its physical limitations – these are not superhuman qualities. These are human possibilities. Yoga is not about being superhuman; it is about realizing that being human is super.” – Sadhaguru
